Anna Allen Sullivan, RYT 500
Anna began her practice of yoga and meditation in 1995. In the midst of mothering 3 children under the age of 5, Anna found true serenity after just one yoga class! She dedicated herself to her yoga practice and soon after enrolled in her first yoga teacher training. Anna began her studies in a philosophical yoga tradition before moving on to a one-on-one therapeutic approach called Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. She is also certified in Cardiac Medical Yoga and The Melt Method technique which directly addresses the body’s connective tissue and its ability to restore and repair itself to overall balance.
Anna, a masterful student, continues to study functional applications to integrate alignment-based and therapeutic yoga to support everyone’s right to feel really, really good! Her passion to seek out new and accessible approaches to facilitate healing motivates her to explore and stay in a beginners state of mind. She brings her quirky sense of humor and curiosity to create this feeling of goodness to all her classes.
Anna has a familial interest in serving the military community as she is a daughter of a USCG veteran. In addition, she is currently a Puppy Parent to Bon Bon for Warrior Canine Connection, a pioneering organization that utilizes clinically based Canine Connection Therapy to help wounded Warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other.
