Marsha Lockom, RYT 200
Faced with debilitating pain of fibromyalgia, Marsha fully embraced yoga in 2,000. Using yoga as a therapeutic aid, she freed herself from all medications and returned to a productive and happy life.
Yoga is not only essential to maintain her health, it is a gift that continues to give in a multitude of incredible ways. The healing power of yoga is one gift that Marsha actively seeks to share with her students.
In order to empower others with yoga’s healing techniques, Marsha completed her initial teacher training program at The Lotus Pond Center for Yoga and Health, a Kripalu-affliated school. She is a Warriors At Ease certified teacher as well as a level one iRest® Yoga Nidra teacher-in-training and is certified in Restorative Yoga. Using sensory enhanced yoga, adaptive yoga, and trauma sensitive meditation, Marsha helps veterans, active military, and blue and gold star families reconnect to a sense of well-being at My Warrior’s Place retreat located on the calming waterfront of Tampa Bay.
Marsha also offers a monthly veterans yoga program at Shore Bliss Yoga in Apollo Beach, FL with both trauma sensitive asana and iRest® Yoga Nidra classes.
