Robin Cushing is an Army Physician Assistant and has a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Hawaii. She a Warriors at Ease Yoga Instructor and teacher trainer who is actively sharing yoga in the military and veteran communities.
Her personal journey with yoga began in 2002, shortly after entering the U.S. Army. Robin used the practice of yoga to balance the physical rigors of military training. It helped her strengthen her body as well as heal and prevent injuries. Robin’s yoga practice deepened in 2013, during her second combat deployment after a traumatic mass casualty event. During this deployment to Afghanistan, she used yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques to cope with combat stress and insomnia. Click here to read more about Robin’s journey.
Major Robin Cushing, MPAS, DrPH, is passionate about sharing yoga and meditation in military and veteran communities because she’s witnessed it’s efficacy both personally and professionally. She is committed to promoting yoga as both a healing modality and preventive health measure for service members, veterans and their families.
