Jennifer Ballou – Lead “The Resilient Warrior” Facilitator, Assistant Faculty Member

Creating a practical roadmap of strategies for building a resilient, balanced and joyful life, is at the heart of the work that 21-year Army Veteran and military spouse, Jennifer Ballou, has been doing for almost two decades.

Jennifer is the Founder and CEO of A Joyful Life with Jennifer, LLC which helps women associated with the military live a balanced and joyful life through teaching yoga, coaching and speaking. She is a Resilience Training expert, Certified Professional Life Coach, 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant and Warriors at Ease Teacher, sharing her passion for wellness and resilience with others, specifically the military community.

Jennifer served in the US Army for almost 21 years, where she held numerous leadership positions throughout her career that culminated in her role as the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the United States Army Resilience Directorate, Army G1, Pentagon. In this role she oversaw the entire Resilience Program worldwide, helped develop resilience curricula, developed a resilience course for Army leaders and more. Jennifer has also written numerous articles on resilience and well-being and has appeared in several videos for the Department of Defense’s Operation Live Well Campaign.

Jennifer is committed to continuing to serve the military community in many other ways, as well. She is a second year writeHER for Freedom Sisters Magazine and is a Board Member and weekly contributor to Behind the Service Podcast, where shares a weekly segment called “Caregivers Coaching Corner”. Additionally, she supports the National Veterans Memorial and Museum as an Advisory Board Member.

Jennifer currently resides in Central Texas and enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a retired Army Veteran, and their three children. She loves music, reading and eating the food her husband, Omari, cooks for the family.
