
Larisa Harrington – Assistant Faculty Member
As a 20 year Air Force veteran, Larisa Harrington supports the mission of Warriors at Ease through her service as an Assistant Faculty Member, Organizational Ambassador, and Advisory Board member bringing insight into the current and changing climate of both the Teacher Network and Military Population. She is also Certified as a Yoga Therapist, Life Coach, Group Fitness Trainer, and Functional Strength Coach. Larisa spent most of her military career in the intelligence field and then transitioned to an employee assistance role teaching holistic well-being and resiliency until retiring in 2017.
Additionally, she has been working in health and wellness since 2000 and taught fitness and yoga to the military throughout her career. Larisa has numerous certifications and training, including Warriors at Ease, Accessible Yoga, Yoga for Amputees, YogaFit for Warriors, Yoga of Recovery, Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Coaching, Yoga for Caregivers, Advanced Training in Mind-Body Medicine, Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-being, Holistic Stress Management, Group and Individual Crisis Intervention, as well as various fitness, life coaching and mental health training and certifications.
Larisa has worked with children, seniors, veterans, athletes, and men and women with varying abilities and goals. She has taught at gyms, studios, military bases, schools and in corporations. Larisa’s goal is to offer an inclusive, non-judgmental and accessible environment for her students to feel supported and accepted as they are, so they are able to experience their own personal growth- mentally, physically, spiritually, or emotionally.
Larisa currently lives in New Market, MD with her husband, Quinn, and their children, Donovan and Ella. Her hobbies include hiking, traveling and spending time with family.
